SEEKING:

A technical and experienced Head of IT to join a Business that provides residential and nursing care services to the elderly operating 35 homes nationally.

This role is to effectively manage the IT sector, ensuring systems and services are fit for purpose and aligned to business requirements. The role will involve managing a primarily outsourced suite of SaaS applications and support partners, and creating and implementing appropriate processes, and where possible integrations, to streamline business operations and ensure consistency of information.

The business in question currently have a balance of Office/Remote working. You would be expcted to come into central City office three times per week, with flexibility on working hours.


Your key areas of focus will be;

  • Accurate selection and implementation of appropriate systems
  • Building appropriate reporting and dashboards delivering timely information to business leaders and operations

Key Responsibilities


To lead all IT related activities, delivrering the agreed IT strategy in line with commercial objectives, You will effectively manage IT within the business and outsourced IT support and systems vendors, ensuring systems and services are robust and fit for purpose, including:
  • Designing and implementing ITIL based processes for management of IT service
  • Ensure vendors accountable for service levels
  • Ensure systems and services are available
  • Patake in regular reporting to the IT Steering Group and Senior Management team on IT project status and KPIs
  • Carry out the line management of existing internal IT team of team of three
  • Act as the lead role in management of group operational, quality, compliance, and financial systems, including
  • Manage vendors they use for different platforms (recruitment system / visitation booking system / care planning software for example)
  • Manage GDPR compliance in the business
  • Successfully drive change of the IT department / systems implementations to be prepared for acquisition
  • Taking the lead role in business process improvement
  • Workclosely with key stakeholders in the business to identify problematic and time-consuming process
  • Take ownership of information security in IT systems ensuring sensitive and personal data is well protected and systems access privileges are appropriate and managed
  • Overall responsibility for information governance and GDPR as the Company’s Data Protection Officer

Desirable experience


Healthcare (or similar) experience
  • Budget management
  • Technical background with good understanding of systems, networks, end user devices
  • Experience working with reporting / BI tools
  • Office 365 experience
