Meraki Talent’s science and tech client, with offices across the globe, are actively looking for a Senior IT Manager, to head up their UK function, expanding into a European oversight. The Senior IT Manager will be responsible for delivering IT strategy across multiple sites and multiple technical business streams, in line with the evolving needs of a growing tech business. This is a strategic appointment, and a figurehead within the UK business.
It is imperative that the Senior IT Manager, is a people person, that can not only manage people, but that enjoys seeing people develop and takes pride in their development. Additionally, someone that can see the gaps, and acquire contract resource as required. The Senior IT Manager needs to be comfortable managing managers directly, as well as taking custody of a larger team of 30 – 40 FTE. These FTE may be based in the UK, as well as in Europe. With that in mind, our client is looking for a candidate who has a bias towards the software, applications and development side of tech, as two thirds of the team work within development.
Our client has a very collaborative culture, and this role will not suit someone who wishes to remain completely hands off. Everyone within this IT team chips in, gets their hands dirty, and helps where they can, with that in mind, it’s essential the Senior IT Manager is happy to be hands on, and get involved in the day to day when required. The Senior IT Manager will be responsible for the entire suite of applications (inhouse and external) and the development and architecture of these as well as the company infrastructure, on prem solutions, and security provisions.
