Salary: Up to £60,000 DOE

Overview

Everest People Solutions are recruiting for a Head of Learning and Development for a large food manufacturing site in Warwickshire. As Head of Learning and Development, you will lead an innovative L&D agenda. This role is crucial for ensuring the team produces high-quality products while maintaining safety and upholding brand standards. As the successful candidate you will have a strong background in learning and development within the manufacturing sector.


Key Duties & Responsibilities for the Head of Learning and Development

  • Identify training needs and develop strategic plans to meet business goals.
  • Design and implement training programs for production teams, emphasising food safety, quality standards, equipment operation, and process optimization.
  • Lead, mentor, and build a high-performing L&D team.
  • Facilitate regular training sessions and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Develop and update training materials to ensure they remain current and relevant.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make improvements as needed.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to improve processes and increase efficiency.
  • Maintain detailed records of training activities and ensure compliance documentation is accurate.
  • Act as a training expert, providing guidance and fostering continuous improvement.


Requirements for the Head of Learning and Development

  • Previous experience working exclusively in a learning and development role is essential.
  • Background in food manufacturing is desirable, other Manufacturing backgrounds will be considered.
  • Proven ability to lead, inspire, motivate, and build a high-performing team.
  • Strong ability to deliver training at all levels.
  • Demonstrated experience in building and implementing L&D plans.
  • Proficiency in using a wide range of delivery methods effectively.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to plan and prioritise a busy workload.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to engage and interact effectively at all levels.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite and learning systems for content development and delivery.
  • CIPD Level 3 qualification in Learning and Development Practice is desirable.
