Job Description

Chess are looking for an experienced marketing leader to join an already established marketing team. Reporting to the Sales Director, you will be responsible for the development and execution of the marketing plans, supporting the organic growth strategy and sales teams. You will inspire, lead, guide and motivate a team of marketers in a hybrid working environment. While this is a home-based role although some travel shall be required.

The Role


Strategic planning:


· Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategy and plan to enhance brand awareness, drive customer acquisition, and increase market share.

· Set marketing goals and objectives, ensuring alignment with overall company strategy.

· Analyse market trends and competitors to identify opportunities and threats.

· Inspire, lead, guide and motivate the ICT marketing team.

· Lead the delivery of business development initiatives, brand building activities, marketing campaigns, communications and PR.


Campaign Management:


· Oversee the creation and execution of innovative marketing campaigns across various channels including digital, social media, email, content, and traditional media.

· Manage the marketing budget and agreed costs, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and maximum ROI on marketing spend.

· Track and report on campaign performance, making data-driven decisions to optimise future campaigns.

· Collaborate with key technology vendors on campaigns and activities, including Microsoft, Sophos, Cisco, BT and more. Manage budgets, including Marketing Development Funds from vendors.

· Manage project delivery timelines with the focus on maximising speed and effectiveness.



Brand Management:


· Maintain and enhance the company's brand identity and ensure consistency across all marketing efforts.

· Develop and implement brand guidelines and ensure all marketing communications are aligned with the brand’s voice and values.


Team Leadership:


· Inspire, lead, guide and motivate a team of marketers in a hybrid working environment.

· Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing marketing team.

· Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.

· Set clear performance goals and provide regular feedback and development opportunities.

· Recruit and manage external agencies to complement in-house skills.

· Work closely with senior stakeholders, including the Commercial Team, Sales Leadership, and the Technology Consultants to develop new products, establish our go-to-market strategy and enable the Sales Teams.

The Candidate:

· You will ideally have 3-5 years of experience in B2B marketing and team management.

· Experience working in technology specifically is desirable although not essential.

· Extensive experience across all marketing channels, overseeing media and managing KPIs.

· Proven track record in driving successful lead generation marketing campaigns.

· Experience of working within a fast-paced environment.

· Clear business acumen and can demonstrate a strong track record of campaign execution and positive ROI

Salary details: dependent on experience

Hours: A standard week is 37½ Monday to Friday

Working location: Hybrid working position


Allowing you to enjoy the flexibility of working from home whilst also having the option to work from one of our many local hubs spread throughout the UK. Ad-hoc travel to offices within the group and other locations may be required on occasion.
