Head of Payroll
Location: Glasgow / Hybrid Working (relocation support offered)
Salary: £58-65,000
Key responsibilities:
- Managing a high volume payroll of 10,000+ including pensions, benefits, travel and expenses.
- Leading the ongoing development of large teams.
- Oversee and lead on performance levels of the payroll team.
- Implement best practice and develop/improve poicies and procedures.
- Answering and resolving all payroll related queries.
- Designing, developing and delivering new processes to streamline and improve efficiency.
- Deliver excellent customer service.
You will have:
- Excellent communication, coaching and people skills.
- Up to date knowledge of payroll legislation, including pensions, teachers pensions and employment and tax regulations.
- Experience in running high volume payrolls of 10,000+.
- Strong team leadership skills, including experience in coaching and development.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with an ability to manage budgets, forecast and create payroll reports.
- Excellent IT skills, including advanced Excel.
