This terrible COVID19 pandemic has created previously unimaginable levels of need. In fundraising we’ve retained our focus. Relationships and innovations have been central to our ability to not only deliver but grow income.

We shifted our approach to corporate partnerships, moving away from applying to the mass charity of the year opportunities to instead focussing our resources on making a targeted approach to those we have our values aligned with.

Maximising relationships is a key focus for the philanthropy and partnerships team and moving forward we are keen to develop strategic and transformational partnerships with individuals and organisations.

We are developing a high value giving club and a programme of cultivation events. Maximising relationships for introductions, skills-based volunteering, pro-bono support and joint initiatives/campaigns are strands of work.

We are looking for an experienced fundraising head to lead the team. You’ll be a strategic thinking, with a proven track record of managing relationships and translating plans into action (previous experience of corporate and/or major donor fundraising isn’t essential).

Here at Children 1st we are looking for someone special to join our skilled and highly successful fundraising team, to maintain and grow the high level sustainable funding we need from Trusts and statutory funders.

We are looking for an experienced and creative Business Development & Trusts Manager that is able to will lead our work to identify and maximise opportunities from Trusts, Foundations and statutory sources. We are looking for someone who brings drive, energy and creativity to the role.

We need someone who is focused, shares our vision and is able to deliver innovation and build great relationships with funders. Being an excellent communicator and on all platforms is vital. Our values are important to us and we need someone who can translate this to our supporters through authentic and creative relationships.

In return you will be offered a competitive salary, 40 days annual leave inclusive of 9 days public holidays (pro rata) and flexible working opportunities.

This is a fixed term, full time role of 35 hours per week, although less than full time could be considered. Based flexibly in Scotland with access (restrictions dependant) to our offices in Edinburgh and Glasgow. The role may require travel across Scotland when safe to do so.

The Aftercare and Safeguarding team have an overview of all child protection and adult protection matters for Quarriers offering advice, guidance and support to all staff and services when required. We have responsibility to further develop already existing safeguarding good practice across Quarriers, beginning with the collection of information, consultation with key managers and staff, and a review of Adult and Child Protection policies and procedures.

We are recruiting for a Head of Aftercare and Safeguarding (35 hours) to lead and manage Quarriers safeguarding activity, supporting operational teams to ensure the people we support are safe and protected

The successful candidate will have a professional background in in Social Work, with significant experience in childcare, safeguarding and regulation. With excellent communication and presentation skills, you will have a proven track record in effective senior management with the ability to develop strong working relationships with our key stakeholders.

Scottish Love in Action is recruiting for a new role, a Business Development Manager, to be instrumental in achieving our commitment to continue and expand our work in India. This individual will have the opportunity to influence every aspect of our organisation, working with and managing a small Executive team and reporting to the Board.

Established 21 years ago, SLA works with carefully selected local partners to empower vulnerable children and young people in India to change their lives. We are committed to developing our work, having just launched a new project across three major Indian cities. In the medium term, our sister charity, The Pipal Foundation, will be providing funds allowing us to substantially expand our reach.

Fundraising to achieve our goals is at the core of our business. We are looking for an individual with drive, enthusiasm, leadership skills, commercial acumen and a proven track record in fundraising to help us expand and meet our potential.

This role will be responsible for developing and implementing the Strategic Management Plan and will have responsibility for the Profit and Loss of the organisation. Developing a Communications Strategy will be crucial. The role requires management of our expenditure in India and relationships with our Indian partners. Leadership is key, developing and managing a high performance team. This team consists of a Fundraising and Events Manager, Communications Officer and Business Coordinator along with a team of enthusiastic volunteers. The role will also update the Board on matters of Governance. As the 'face' of SLA you will reflect the charity's Values.

FCSS has been created to challenge the inflexibility of current childcare provision across the country and to ensure equity of early years’ and childcare experience for all children regardless of family circumstances, location or specific needs.

To do this we have developed a range of services aimed at supporting children and families, childcare providers and childcare practitioners. These include:

  • The creation of childcare management software that allows services to:
    • Deliver a flexible model
    • Advertise their availability to parents
  • The creation of a Sessional Childcare Team

We are now seeking new Trustees to join our board including a new Treasurer.

Board Trustees are responsible for the charity's governance and strategy, and for making sure that the charity is administered effectively. They must account for its activities and outcomes.

The Treasurer will lead the Board of Trustees on matters relating to financial reporting and decision-making. The Treasurer’s primary role is to assist and advise the Board of Trustees in overseeing finances, the Treasurer will also lead the Finance Sub Committee and work with the Head of Finance to ensure the financial sustainability of the organisation.
