As the successful candidate, you will have the autonomy to create something truly special. Leading a thriving team of Paid Media experts, the Head of PPC will play a pivotal role in developing and delivering the strategic vision to further grow client accounts, seize new business opportunities, and elevate the quality and sophistication of our work. Your strategic vision and leadership will be instrumental in the future of the agency, as you work closely with our senior management team to drive the continued growth of the department.

Head of PPC responsibilities

  • Take full leadership of the PPC department, its strategic direction and delivery of campaigns across Google Ads and Microsoft Ads focusing on Search and Social, including Shopping, Display, Video, and Discovery, as well as Performance Max.
  • Lead, manage and grow a highly effective team, providing direction, support and development opportunities.
  • Constantly drive quality and best practice.
  • Take ownership to ensure the MRS PPC service is best-in-class.
  • Own and grow in team processes to streamline as much as the service as possible.
  • Represent the PPC team during internal conversations when it comes to client planning and cross service strategy.
  • Provide high level strategic guidance and support to the senior members in the team.
  • Provide PPC expertise during the new business process, assisting in the preparation and delivery of pitches, proposals, and strategy documents.
  • Own client-facing responsibilities, ensuring professionalism and top-tier customer service during client interactions and during monthly/quarterly reviews.
  • Establish, nurture, and grow relationships with key ad platform partners like Google, Microsoft, Meta, LinkedIn, ensuring alignment that benefits the agency's strategic objectives.
  • Be highly accountable for all team actions and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual KPI reports for the PPC department to the directors.
  • Be heavily involved in team resourcing for the PPC department alongside the business’s objectives.
  • Present solutions to the growth and team challenges MRS encounters.
  • Collaborate closely with senior leadership team and business leaders, meeting deadlines set.

Skill & Experience Requirements

  • 8+ years’ experience of running paid media strategies in platform, ideally as a senior or team manager.
  • 2+ years’ experience in a leadership role
  • Demonstrable experience across multiple platforms and channels, including Google, Microsoft, Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, Programmatic
  • Must be commercially and business minded and be able to demonstrate this across the role requirements.
  • Demonstrable experience in managing and developing a growing team.
  • Must be able to show measurable success in running large client accounts.
  • Proven experience winning new business and cross selling/ up selling.
  • Must have first-hand experience in PPC operations and team strategy.
  • Highly analytical and KPI driven, structured thinker with strong attention to detail and organisational ability.
  • Able to liaise with clients and develop strong client relationships.
  • Able to proficiently explain account performance to both new and existing clients.
