Location: Bristol

Our client is an established and growing business within the waste management industry who are responsible for providing critical services to residents of Bristol. They are currently looking for an equally ambitious Head of Sales to achieve business revenue for commercial waste.
In this newly created role, you will be working closely with the Managing Director and the Business Development Team to develop and grow your own portfolio of accounts.

Responsibilities include:

* Developing and implementing sales initiatives to attract new customers and support the retention and growth of current customers
* Leading and focusing on implementation of successful sales plans for the region and building a robust well qualified sales pipeline of commercial leads
* Maintaining, managing, and growing current key customer accounts
* Supporting and developing a small business development team
* Preparing, producing, and presenting service solutions via tenders, costings and digital
* Working with the Communications and Marketing Manager to develop and implement sales plans, market and sales research and information dossiers for new key targets and customers
* Producing reports and presentations and leading/attending business meetings, events and exhibitions as directed

Candidate requirements:

* Substantial experience of working in a sales environment within the commercial waste management sector
* A proven track record of achieving sales targets using a structured sales approach
* Excellent IT skills with the ability to produce high quality proposal documents, spreadsheets, and presentations
* Experienced with social and digital selling methods using applications such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator and Showpad
* Previous experience of managing a sales team
* Outstanding communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
* Educated to degree level, or equivalent, in subjects related to sales, marketing or business management
* Full drivers' licence is required
