The Role:
As the Head of School, you'll be:
Accountable for all areas of operational and educational performance within the school
Managing the financial performance and the education and support staff
Establishing and overseeing systems, processes and policies for effective school operation
Identifying problems and barriers to school effectiveness and developing realistic, timely strategies for school improvement
Monitoring progress towards achieving the school's aims and objectives
Allocating financial resources appropriately, efficiently and effectively
Undertaking Safeguarding duties supported by the Principal
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate for the Head of School position should have:
Experience as a Head Teacher with a track record of success in SEND environments
Qualified Teacher Status with further professional qualification in a relevant area
Experience of working as a senior leader within an ASD environment
A clear understanding of Ofsted frameworks and Safeguarding legislation in relation to independent schools
Quality assurance experience (such as lesson observations and performance management)
Team management experience
Superb communication and stakeholder management skills
