Smile Leadership Ltd are currently seeking an experienced Head of School for a Nuneaton based Alternative Provision (CV10). This role is offered on a full-time, temporary basis to start immediately If you have experience as a Head of School or within a similar role within the SEND education sector, particularly SEMH and are available to travel to the Nuneaton area, we would like to hear from you. Smile Leadership Ltd is a sister company to Smile Education who are a leading education recruitment agency. We are currently supporting the CEO in securing an experienced member of staff to oversee a small Alternative Provision. The setting currently has places for up to 15 students, meaning that class sizes are very small with approximately 6 students to a class. Groups are highly supported by Learning & Support Mentors and Teachers all of whom have vast experience working with children with challenging needs. Their approach to learning allows for an individualised timetable which recognises students varying learning styles, ability to cope in a classroom environment and special educational needs. A wide range of curriculum subjects is offered along with vocational and pastoral courses. Their curriculum offers opportunities to undertake the ASDAN awards (Bronze, Silver and Gold) which are widely recognised and provide an engaging curriculum that empowers students through personalised learning and choices. You will work alongside the current CEO and leadership team to provide logistical support and be heavily involved with the day-to-day life of the setting. To be successful in your application, you should have experience in one or more of the following: • Hold a relevant senior or middle leadership qualification • Ideally have knowledge of Nuneaton and/or Birmingham LA procedures • Exceptionally dedicated to supporting pupils with SEMH • SEMH school or AP school experience in a similar role Posting Date: 14.02.23 Interview Date: Immediate appointment available Salary potential: £35,000 to £40,000 (daily rate equivalent) A video meeting with a Smile Leadership representative will be arranged for applicants as a first stage interview.
