As a Head of Software for Analytics everyday should be rewarding and mentally challenging. We believe there is nothing more rewarding than leading highly skilled and successful MHR Agile Product Teams developing the next generation of new and exciting products shaping the world of work.

Working with several teams and direct reports, you'll be responsible for leading the technical vision and direction of your product area. You'll set the technical strategy, influence the architecture, and shape the teams to deliver the best systems for our People First customers.

You'll be one of the senior leaders looking to keep us at the forefront of the market through high quality, well tested and well monitored code as well as understanding the diverse needs of our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with managers, team leaders and individuals to set the vision, direction and OKRs to develop our technical systems and people
  • Grow the team by hiring great technologists and developing the careers and development of the people
  • Work with business stakeholders to ensure business outcomes are effectively met by delivering software in a predictable manner taking account of commercial impact.
  • Guide and monitor 3rd party (outsourced) software development as required
  • Identify future technology or skill needs for the team and plan how these can be introduced
  • Establish and maintain standards and metrics which are applied across the software development organisation in support of continuous improvement
  • Work with other members of the management team to embed Agile practices and facilitate predictable, rapid delivery of business benefit
  • Manage the implementation of appropriate process or technology improvements in support of the software delivery processes, including but not limited to source code management, CI/CD, product tracking, monitoring, security, and alerting
  • Work closely with the product team to ensure they have a clear understanding of what they're , why they're building it and when.
  • You'll own the technical, risk, people, and development to maintain and enhance your application platforms in support of what is best for the customers
