As Head of Strategic Asset Management you will work in partnership with the wider business to develop and drive positive practice in asset management across the Places for People portfolio.

You will lead the development of investment programmes to balance immediate and strategic investment needs, in a strategic asset management plan, to drive operational efficiency and value for money.

You will work in partnership with Planned Investment, Repairs and Housing Management teams to ensure programmes deliver tangible outcomes to customers and the business.

More about you

You will have experience working in a strategic role in a property/real estate environment. This will include proven knowledge and experience developing asset investment plans and programmes, to deliver targeted improvements to asset portfolios.  This will be based on a clear awareness of statutory and regulatory requirements in a social housing context with the skills to monitor and report effectively.

You will possess a clear commitment and awareness of data management principles with experiencing developing on-site and desktop exercises to improve the quality and completeness of data sets. 

You will be a skilled communicator with a proven ability to develop key relationships and manage internal and external stakeholder relationships, utilising feedback to effectively shape strategic and operational outcomes. You will have sound understanding of key financial principals, including budget management, fixed asset accounting and lifecycle costing analysis, and experience using these principles to deliver effective asset management outcomes.
