Job Title: Head of Teaching, Learning & Assessment

Department: Teaching Learning & Assessment

Salary: £60,000 per annum

Location: Remote with occasional travel to our head office in Nottingham, as required

As the Head of Teaching, Learning & Assessment, you will provide visionary leadership to champion and nurture best practices across our provision. You will be responsible for aligning our departmental vision with organisational goals, driving operational excellence, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. You will be committed to collaborative working and possess a track record of delivering outstanding education within the further education sector.

About the role:

You will align the departmental vision with business goals, ensuring clarity and understanding among all stakeholders, translating the centre's vision into actionable objectives and operational plans.

You will monitor and evaluate the quality of provision, implement new programmes and ensure your team is diving for outstanding quality results and adhering to all relevant frameworks. You will serve as the lead contact for external quality assurance processes.

You will oversee the delivery of programmes to the highest standards, including apprenticeship and non-apprenticeship schemes and you will champion excellence in teaching, learning, and assessment, driving continual improvement.

This role will be operating as part of the Senior Management Team and will directly and indirectly manage staff. You will need to foster positive working relationships across the organisation, motivating and challenging staff to maintain high standards. You will be overseeing the development of tutors, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

About you:

You will have significant experience in teaching, learning, and assessment within further education and proven leadership skills with a focus on operational and quality delivery and driving change.

You will have a strong understanding of quality assurance processes and external frameworks.

Your communication and interpersonal skills are excellent and you are committed to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion.
