We have been instructed by one of London’s premier Private Client law firms, to help them find a Trusts Director to lead their Trusts & Personal Tax team.

The current head of department is retiring later this year, but will provide a handover to the incoming individual.
The role will involve managing a team of four (two trust managers and two trust accountants), handling the annual compliance cycle. The team leader assists with the review of complex trust and personal tax returns and accounts, but also gets involved with strategic trust planning advice, working closely with leading private client lawyers. The portfolio consists of on and offshore trusts, as well as a significant number of HNW UK res non doms.
Very much a client and third-party facing role, the incoming individual will have a significant profile both internally and externally.
The successful candidate will be an accomplished Trust & Tax Director or top-end Senior Manager, with demonstrable experience of advising on IHT, offshore trusts, domicile, residence and remittance issues. Scope exists to get involved with contentious trusts work, alongside the firms partners and litigation specialists.
