Job Description

his is a fantastic opportunity to join our market leading UK Protection Team as the Head of Underwriting, a key client facing and management team role. We are looking for an experienced Underwriter with proven track record of delivering change and operational excellence driven by data insights. 

This role will be part of the SCOR UK Protection Management team and will be responsible for leading a highly-experienced team of Senior Medical Underwriters. Additionally, this role  will  work closely with the Chief Underwriter to achieve our UK strategic plan by delivering an excellent underwriting service to our clients. 

Lead the underwriting team

At SCOR, we have a highly-experienced and respected team of Senior Medical Underwriters. The Head of Underwriting will have day to day responsibility for this team, will focus on bringing out the best from this team, and lead the function to offer both operational excellence, highest levels of risk management, and a market leading client offering. 

Developing the long-term vision for Underwriting

We believe the increased availability of data and continually improving analytical tools will change the future of Underwriting. As the Head of Underwriting, we are looking for someone to join us to help us refine and deliver on that vision.

Delivering SCOR UK & Ireland Underwriting strategic plan

Underwriting is a key part of our UK strategic plan, impacting all four of our strategic pillars

The Head of Underwriting, in conjunction with our Chief Underwriter, will be responsible for delivering our strategic plan across all four of these pillars from an underwriting perspective.
