This organisation is seeking an exceptionally talented individual, who will provide highly effective leadership of two special needs schools , covering three sites in Surrey (Smallfield, Caterham and Effingham) This organisation has over 20 special needs schools across England.

The Principal is ultimately accountable for the successful running, outcomes, budgets and growth of the two schools.

The purpose of the role is to motivate and inspire the school teams to ensure that the education, social and clinical needs of the students are fulfilled in the most appropriate manner and to the highest standards.

This is achieved through the strong leadership and development of the staff team to deliver all requirements of an 'outstanding provision combined with effective management of finances and all relationships internally and with our stakeholders.

Key duties: To take full responsibility for the overall leadership and success of these schools.

To effectively delegate to site SLT, ensuring successful leadership and success of the schools Provide effective strategic leadership and management to develop and implement operational plans designed to maximise opportunities for children which are inclusive and community based.

Drive school wide improvement priorities as well as the Group's initiatives.

Create a learning culture to ensure the schools are delivering high-quality provision and securing the best outcomes for students, ensuring planned delivery of standards that meet a minimum of a 'good judgement rating.

Promote, develop and maintain a culture of unity and collaboration with all stakeholders, internally and externally.

Deliver cost effective and good value services that deliver to the quality and commercial requirements of the schools and Group.

Ensure delivery of a high quality therapy approach across all schools which works in partnership with parents/carers, teachers, clinical and support staff.

Duties will vary, you must expect to diversify and lend a hand wherever is required.

Successful candidate qualities: A recognised qualification in Education, Care or allied profession (Level 7 or above).

Management qualification is desirable.

Demonstrable understanding and knowledge of the requirements of working in Education environments and Health & Social care.

Sound knowledge of safeguarding and legislation that surrounds it.

Successful experience as a senior leader within a special needs environment.

Sound knowledge and understanding of relevant regulations and standards for education and care Sound knowledge of commercial and financial/budget management Exemplary leadership skills, that develop high performing teams through a coaching and collaborative approach Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communicator at all levels.

Problem solving skills sufficient to resolve complex matters often with conflicting requirements.

Due to covering three sites driving licence is required.
