Job Description Job PurposeAs the HSE Technician at Ltd you will be responsible for supporting and driving all health, safety, and environmental initiatives within the company. Your developing knowledge, competence and expertise will be instrumental in promoting a safety-conscious culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, developing and maintaining the site HSE plan together with implementing effective measures to safeguard the well-being of the valued employees and the environment. Responsibilities of the HSE Technician: •Collaborate with department heads and line managers to foster a proactive safety culture and provide training and support to ensure a competent and informed workforce.•Develop, monitor and analyse HSE performance metrics, producing regular reports for management review and enabling continual improvement.•Support and deputise for the Engineering & Process Safety Manager. •Participate and contribute to meetings with external regulatory bodies, e.g. HSE and EA•Support the development and implementation of robust HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines in line with statutory regulations and industry best practices.•Participate in and support process safety assessments including PHA, HAZOP, LOPA and SIL •Support the Libra site team during review of the site COMAH safety report and ensure timely compliance with all related improvements and actions •Actively support the Libra team through COMAH intervention reviews •Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards, implement corrective actions, and prevent accidents or incidents.•Stay up-to-date with changes in HSE legislation, integrating new requirements seamlessly into operations.•Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and share learnings to prevent future occurrences.•Continually developing a working HSE network within the COMAH environment and across the wider Chemical Industry•Support the continued site accreditations to ISO, , , EFfCI, RSPO, Kosher •Drive sustainability initiatives to reduce environmental impact and promote eco-friendly practices.•Actively support the Libra project to achieve the “nett zero” targetHSE Technician requirements:•Ideally some experience as an HSE professional working within a Top Tier COMAH environment in the chemical manufacturing industry.•Relevant HSE qualifications (ideally NEBOSH Certificate)•Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, codes of practice, and industry standards.•Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels.•Analytical mindset with the capacity to identify and resolve complex safety issues.•Good listener and importantly a strong team player
