AJ Connect is proud to partner with the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland in their search for a dedicated Health and Safety Advisor. As a prominent charity leading the way in wildlife conservation, RZSS is not only focused on the preservation of species but also on ensuring the well-being and safety of its team and visitors at the iconic Edinburgh Zoo and Highland Wildlife Park.


Role Snapshot:


Title: Health and Safety Advisor

Location: Edinburgh, Scotland, with regular visits to the Highland Wildlife Park

Salary: £26,610 - £27,354 starting salary with a progression up to £30,592 per annum, reflective of experience.


Hours: 37.5 hours per week with some weekend work required.

Annual Leave: 34 days (pro rata).

The Role Entails:


Being the champion of health and safety practices within the park.

Regularly conducting risk assessments and ensuring compliance with safety standards

Engaging and training the RZSS family in health and safety protocols to promote a culture of safety.


We Are Searching For:


A vigilant, detail-oriented professional with a passion for health and safety.

A strong communicator, capable of liaising effectively with various stakeholders.

Someone who thrives in an environment where their work truly matters.


Qualifications:


Proven experience in health and safety management.

A NEBOSH certificate or similar qualification is highly desirable.
