An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Health and Safety Advisor to join a leading mechanical and electrical construction company. They are specialists in commercial office, data centres, and shell and core projects throughout London and the southeast. This will be a mobile, multi-site role working across specialist M&E projects within London; projects will range broadly in size, value, and the type of environment that you will be working in. You will report to the Health and Safety Manager and be a part of a strong, ethical, friendly team.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Carrying out site audits and inspections and writing reports on H&S performance.
- Collating H&S data, statistics, and implementing various H&S initiatives at a site level to help develop performance and cultural improvement.
- Checking on all safety and quality calibration compliance.
- Ensuring compliance with H&S legislation and industry standards.
- Assisting in creating suitable and sufficient Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
- Reviewing the suitability of Subcontractor Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
- Attending internal and client safety meetings and communicating & implementing any actions from the meeting.
- Offering advice, guidance, and coaching on all H&S matters to project staff, including direct employees, sub-contractors, supply chain, and the client as required.
- Providing up-to-date knowledge of all industry-related regulations.
Ideal Candidate
NEBOSH qualified with at least a year of experience in Health and Safety in construction.
Motivated in work and have a positive attitude.
Energetic and enthusiastic, demonstrating the ability to work well within a team or autonomously.
