We build, renew, maintain highways, airports, railway infrastructure, and commercial, industrial and educational buildings.We have a great opportunity for a Health & Safety Advisor to work on our M27 Junction 10 Improvements scheme in Fareham, Hampshire. You will be responsible for facilitating compliance with legislative, corporate and other requirements in relation to Health and Safety as well as assisting in the co-ordination of all activities related to the implementation, development and maintenance of the Safety Management Systems (SMS) for VolkerFitzpatrick. About you NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health, or equivalentCSCS card holder.An understanding of the requirements of BS OHSAS 18001:2007 and experience in facilitating registration surveillance visits.A working knowledge of current and impending health & safety legislationGood presentation, written, analytical and IT skills.Training and presentation experience throughout all levels of an organisation.Good interpersonal skills with the ability to guide and educate/train at all levelsSelf-confidence to build strong working relationships internally and externally.Demonstrable achievement in a similar role If your past experience doesn’t match perfectly with every requirement of the job description, we still encourage you to apply.
