The Opportunity

The S2 Partnership is looking to expand its expert team of professional consultants and is seeking an experienced home-based Health, Safety & Environmental Consultant to join our successful consultancy team. The focus of this role is to provide health, safety, and environmental consultancy services to clients in the commercial property sector. Part of the week will be site-based and part at home working on reports and assisting clients; diaries are pre-planned in advance to support work-life balance. Travel to sites is required for this role, so you will need to have a full driving license and access to your vehicle. The position can be full-time or part-time (3 or 4 days per week).

Competencies and Experience

You will have:

  1. Knowledge of safety and environmental legislation in the UK relating to the built environment and property management
  2. Qualified to degree level or equivalent in an appropriate environmental discipline
  3. A minimum of 3 years of experience in the environmental field
  4. Proven technical ability
  5. Good report writing, IT, and communication skills
  6. Experience in carrying out or preparing for ISO 14001 Audits

Desirable experience/memberships:

  • Sustainability Assessments
  • Flood Risk Assessments
  • Pollution Incident Response Plans
  • Professional membership with a recognized environmental body such as IEMA or a safety body such as IOSH
  • Fire risk assessment
