Health & Wellbeing Manager

In this part time role, you will support our holistic wellbeing strategy to foster a culture of ‘Impact with Care’ and achieve a measurable improvement in the health & wellbeing of our Philips people in UK & Ireland.

Your role:

Health & Wellbeing Vendor Management:

  • Ensure all H&W providers meet their contractual requirements with Service Level Agreements and critical metrics regularly reviewed.
  • Take ownership for acquiring data from those providers to analyse and suggest programs for improving health & wellbeing.
  • Manage the wellbeing budget, ensuring effective allocation and utilization of resources

Absence Management:

  • Partner with the People Function Team to handle long-term sickness absence and provide direct support for complex cases.
  • Lead the Philips Group Income Protection (GIP) process with our Occupational Health provider.

Health & Wellbeing Strategy:

  • Work closely with the global wellbeing team on implementing global initiatives addressing mental, physical, financial, emotional, social, career and environmental wellbeing.
  • Create and drive local strategy, supported by wellbeing programs and initiatives to address the diverse needs of our people.      
  • Measure and report on the impact of wellbeing initiatives, using data driven insights to provide continuous improvement. 
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest research, best practices and industry changes in wellbeing, using this to inform strategy development. Share insights and recommendations with internal stakeholders as appropriate.
  • Maintain, grow and develop the UK&I Wellbeing Champions network, providing them with the required training, development, support and resources to drive engagement and adoption of wellbeing initiatives.
  • Lead and update the health & wellbeing policies for Philips UK&I
  • Manage confidentiality and privacy in line with Philips and external GDPR regulations.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Create and drive wellbeing communication plan, working closely with internal and external communications to ensure high engagement on wellbeing.
  • Work closely with local Diversity and Inclusion, Employee Resource Groups, Benefits and other internal stakeholders to identify wellbeing needs, gaps and opportunities for improvement across the zone, with a focus on under-represented and diverse groups.
  • Be a local Ambassador for the Philips Volunteering Policy & Philips Foundation to promote volunteering opportunities

You’re right for this role if you have:

  • Experience of health and wellbeing subject-matter and its application in the workplace i.e. stress management, energy management, mental health, resilience, exercise, sleep and nutrition (with an aim to deepen this knowledge).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to empathise with employees from diverse backgrounds and convey complex concepts in a clear and accessible manner.
  • Strong influencing skills to present business cases to senior leaders.   
  • Proven planning, organising, and executing projects from inception to completion whilst working within budget constraints and meeting deadlines.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions, identify areas for improvement, and adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Strong vendor management experience, including sourcing, onboarding and driving performance improvements.
