Job Description
Our client is an established, high quality, successful Lloyd’s Syndicate, who due to the continued growth of the Healthcare account, have created an opportunity for a dynamic and talented individual, who will as the Underwriting Assistant, provide effective support to the Healthcare Underwriters (who are considered market leaders in their field).

Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting the Class Underwriter & Underwriter daily at Lloyd’s.
- Data entry of all new and renewal business including endorsements within specified time frames.
- Liaise with brokers / clients to ensure timely receipt of PremiumPayments.
- Liaising with Catastrophe Modelling team to ensure all pre modelling work is of the required standard as well as having the capability to model certain accounts when required.
- Liaise with Syndicate Management and Underwriters to ensure that all entry work is consistent and is completed within specified timeframe.
- Co-ordinating with the Delegated Underwriting team and brokers to ensure required information is provided to ensure approval to write business.
- Monitoring bordereaux against aggregate limits contained in contracts.
- Preparation of MI reports showing the performance of the class.
- Assist with production of information for Delegated Underwriting Committee. Monitor and resolve outstanding compliance issues from Hive report.
- Answering ad hoc queries from Underwriting Management.
- Liaising with brokers to resolve outstanding issues e.g. contract certainty, signings etc
Requirements:
- The ideal candidate will have some working knowledge of Healthcare or Casualty insurance, gained in the Lloyds/London Insurance Market.
- Interested in hearing from individuals who are specifically looking for a career in Underwriting/London Insurance Market.
- At least intermediate level Excel skills.
- Consistently good grades throughout education.
