The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Dundee area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 2 Drivers (CAT C) to join the team. Hours: Working 5 shifts out of 7 shifts across Monday to Sunday Pay Rate: Days - £12.47, rising to £13.12 after 12 weeks / Nights - £13.78, rising to £14.43 after 12 weeks Location: Dundee, DD2 Job Type : Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate The role: Conducting 1-3 runs on average per shift, majority of shifts are 8 hours on average but there are some routes which can be longer. Delivering palletized parcels to sub depots and solus locations. Using tail lift/pump truck to handle pallets at sub depots. Handballing parcels into sheds and garages at solus locations. Ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods. Maintaining a clean and organised vehicle. Collaborating with warehouse and logistics teams for efficient operations. Complete a theory and practical assessment to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards and then complete a few days paid training if assessment is successful. Requirements: Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C). Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card. No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only). Full understanding of WTD legislation. Ability to operate tail lift and pump truck equipment. Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position. Excellent communication skills.
