Currently seeking a Class 1 hgv Driver to fill a position in Chorley (PR7) . The successful candidate will possess a current and valid Class 1 HGV Licence and must have HGV Class 1 driving experience (12 months minimum).Responsibilities of the Class 1 HGV DriverCarry out up to 4 drops per day Absence, Sickness and Holiday cover based out of our Chorley site. Required to cover sites in Leeds, Glasgow and Leicester where needed.Travel, Accommodation and evening meal expenses covered.No breaks deductedMonday - Friday working period, start time varies from 04:00, 10 hours a day. National delivery of engineered timber Full comprehensive training givenEnsure the safe and legal operation of your vehicle at all timesOngoing DCPC trainingMaintain adherence to required productivity standards for the department to ensure all customers are serviced in a timely and efficient manner.Follow all required safety policies and procedures.Requirements of the Class 1 HGV DriverClass 1 Driver (HGV)Class 1 driver experienceNo more than six points on your licence (as well as no DD, DR or IN endorsements)Verifiable referencesGreat knowledge of the UK roads nationally Compensation of the Class 1 HGV DriverThe starting salary for this position is up to £14.74 hourly.
