We are recruiting x 2 Full-time Highway Asset Officer based in Teignbridge, Exeter or Eastern areas - however there will be at times a requirement to work across other areas of Devon as part of a wider Asset delivery Team.The role is part of a team responsible for the ongoing management and maintenance of Devon’s highway assets.The position involves the following key tasks:• Early Contract Involvement (ECI) and Design of planned work programmes for highway maintenance projects• Working alongside Local Neighbourhood Teams to best understand local community needs.• Auditing highway maintenance and other contracts to ensure compliance with DCC contract conditions and specifications• Review, manage and approve payments for highway maintenance schemes• Apply a working knowledge of appropriate highway policies and procedures, and maintain awareness of technical developments and good working practiceFor an informal chat regarding the role please contact Ian Hyde 07967691093Internal Applicants, please note: If you are an existing DCC employee, please use your iTrent Employee Self Service (ESS) details to log in and apply.
