Maintenance Technician
Are you looking for your next challenge? As a Highways Maintenance Technician you'll be working on the National Highways National Roads Telecommunications Service contract (NRTS) maintaining roadside assets and reporting to the O&M Technology Manager. This is a National Field Based role and will cover maintenance works from north of the Midlands up to Sheffield and Leeds area. The role is mainly working days but there will be times your be required to work Nights, which will normally be planned in advance.
What you'll do:
Completion of all the associated documentation required as part of any task and submitted on time
Clearing vegetation from the Network for access to technology assets,
Rectification of defects including graffiti, building maintenance, lock maintenance and 'making good'.
Report any QEHS issue to their QEHS representative and Line Manager
Collaborate with other teams in telent to resolve operational issues and contribute to a sustainable business.
We would welcome applications form anyone who has worked on any previous maintenance projects or someone who is enjoys working outside and would like a change of career or new challenge as training will given.
Key requirements:
Experience in ground works including levelling and laying flagstones
Practical skills including carpentry, building maintenance, painting and decorating
PC literate in Microsoft Office suite, Word, Excel, Outlook and SharePoint
Hold a Full UK Driving licence
National Highways Sector Scheme accredited (HERS) desirable.
