Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum and educational standards
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and inquiry
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to both students and parents to support their academic growth
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to cater to the diverse learning needs of students
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and enhance the integration of history into other subjects
- Keep up to date with the latest developments and best practices in history education
- Participate in extracurricular activities and contribute to the wider school community
- Bachelor's degree in History or a related field
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Previous experience teaching history at the primary/secondary level
- Strong knowledge of the curriculum and educational standards for history
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- Passion for education and a genuine interest in inspiring students to learn about history
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of students and the school community
