We are partnering with a highly regarded secondary school in Hillingdon to find a talented and dedicated History Teacher to join their vibrant department. This exciting opportunity offers a full-time or part-time permanent position, commencing this September. The Role: Develop and deliver engaging and informative History lessons aligned with the National Curriculum across Key Stage 3 and potentially GCSE. Cultivate a love for historical exploration, critical thinking, and analytical skills in your students. Design and implement innovative lesson plans that spark curiosity and connect the past to the present. Foster a stimulating learning environment that encourages respectful debate and independent thinking. Collaborate with colleagues in the History department to ensure continued success and development of the curriculum. (Optional, but desirable) Play a role in mentoring and supporting the professional development of colleagues. The Ideal Candidate: Possesses Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in History. Holds a minimum of 2 years' successful teaching experience, ideally within a secondary school setting. Demonstrates a deep understanding of current History curriculum trends and assessment practices. Exhibits exceptional communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills. Maintains a genuine enthusiasm for creating a dynamic learning space that fosters historical exploration and critical thinking. Thrives in a collaborative and supportive team environment.
