Job summary Responsible for the provision of safe, high quality and efficient hotel services to patients, carers, staff and visitors to Trust sites on a day to day basis.Responsible for the day to day management of Hotel Services staff including housekeepers, domestics, porters, catering, reception, store person, couriers and post room staff.Responsible for monitoring standards and taking corrective action as show commitment to and participate in quality improvement interact compassionately with service users and carers at all times. Service users have a range of mental health conditions or learning promote at all times a positive image of people with mental health conditions and learning promote at all times a positive image of Hotel Services and the wider Trust. Main duties of the job An opportunity has arisen for a passionate, friendly and enthusiastic individual to work as a Hotel Services Supervisor within the Trusts Hotel Services Team.Hotel Services Supervisors are responsible for the day to day management of Hotel Services staff including housekeepers, domestics, porters and receptionists, who provide and maintain a high standard of soft services support, cleanliness and the provision of food.This post involves shift work including late/early, week-ends and bank holidays. You will be required to work different varying shifts between the hours of - The post you are applying for is hours per week permanent your base will be Roseberry Park Hospital, Middlesbrough. You may be required to work in different locations within a team.You should be highly motivated, reliable, flexible and willing to work at short notice with substantial experience supervising/coaching staff on a day to day basis. Experience using IT software Microsoft Office. Experience of working in a mental health environment would be desirable along with a passion to providing high standards of customer service and cleanliness. Job description Job responsibilities Candidates must possess NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant subject , Food Hygiene Certificate Level 2 with willingness to achieve level 3 and level 4 within an agreed timescale, Numeracy and Literacy to level 2.Please refer to the attached job description for further detailed information regarding the role and main responsibilities. Person Specification Qualifications Essential NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant subject Food Hygiene Certificate Level 2 with willingness to achieve Level 3 and Level 4 within agreed timescale Numeracy and Literacy to level 2. Experience Essential Substantial experience supervising / coaching staff on a day to day basis Experience of using IT software Microsoft Office Desirable Experience of working in a mental health environment Knowledge Essential National Standard of Cleanliness (within agreed timescale). Basic knowledge of HR procedures. Health & Safety and COSHH Good understanding of confidentiality. Desirable Patient-Lead Assessment of the Care Environment (PLACE) (within agreed timescale). Skills Essential Effective verbal and written communication skills in a range of situations. Ability to manage a team on a day to day basis and work constructively with team members. Able to prioritise and use initiative to problem solve effectively. Safe, efficient and effective techniques in the following areas, producing consistently high standards: Cleaning o Deep cleaning (within agreed timescale) o Use of motorised cleaning equipment eg floor scrubber, carpet cleaner (within agreed timescale) o Use of kitchen equipment o Preparation and serving of food o Use and cleaning of regeneration ovens (within agreed timescale) o Washing and ironing
