Job Description

Due to continued success and expansion, our leading manufacturing client in the County Armagh/Craigavon area, wishes to recruit an experienced HR Business Partner.

This is a new, permanent HR Business Partner job, and an addition to the already well established, busy, HR team.

Reporting to the HR Manager, the successful HR Business Partner will support a large workforce, providing strong leadership, as well as managing and coordinating the varied HR business processes to drive effectiveness and efficiencies on site.

The Role

  • Work with the HR Manager to deliver innovative HR strategy
  • Support headcount analysis, recruitment and promotion recommendations
  • Continually develop and improve onboarding processes to deliver innovative induction programmes
  • Support and advise managers in regard to career coaching and performance management and development
  • Develop strong links with major Universities/Colleges/Schools
  • Talent management - succession planning and profiling
  • Carry out job evaluations on site
  • Employee relations - manage and conduct discipline and grievance investigations, hearings and appeals
  • Work with Line Managers to ensure delivery of a goal orientated, timelined performance management process
  • Support management of underperformance
  • Manage, monitor and analysis employee satisfaction levels via Employee Surveys, Staff Forum and Union
  • Absence management
  • Management of the HR systems
  • Support the HR Manager in the preparation of the annual pay negotiations process

The Person

  • 3rd level qualification
  • CIPD qualified
  • Minimum of 4-5 years'+ Senior HR experience in a fast paced HR department, essential
  • Experience of working in a busy manufacturing/engineering/production led environment, essential
  • Expert leader with experience in project management and change management
  • Experience working closely with Unions
  • Strong knowledge of employee relations and legislation
  • Excellent HR systems experience
  • Attention to detail/data accuracy
  • Organised (ability to multitask and be very reactive)
