Job Opportunity: HR People Partner (18-Month FTC) at a Prestigious Charity
Are you passionate about making a difference and driving positive change in the charity sector? Join our client as an HR People Partner on an 18-month fixed-term contract and play a pivotal role in transforming their HR services and enhancing their people strategy.

About the Role:
As HR People Partner, you will work across various directorates to deliver an effective HR service aligned with our People Strategy, organisational goals, and core values. Collaborating with key stakeholders, including Senior Managers, People Managers, Functional Leaders, Finance Partners, Regional Managers, and Community Team Leaders, you will ensure the successful implementation of the People Strategy. This role is crucial in supporting the workforce through a period of significant transformation.
You will review and develop HR processes, policies, systems, and guidance materials, establishing a respected and efficient shared services and self-service model. By partnering with stakeholders, you will drive change, deliver results, and embed inclusive and forward-thinking approaches that reflect our culture and values throughout the entire HR life cycle.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the delivery of the people strategy through expert advice, leadership, and engagement.
  • Challenge managers to consider cross-functional impacts in operational and change activities.
  • Proactively identify and address potential operational issues and trends.
  • Act as a change champion to implement organisational change in line with our culture and values.
  • Provide solutions for all people-related matters, including talent management, workforce planning, employee engagement, and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Review and develop HR processes and systems to establish a fit-for-purpose shared services model.
  • Coach and advise managers on HR matters, including employee relations and people management.
  • Use HRIM data to inform planning and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with Learning & Development Partners to deliver robust learning and development interventions.
  • Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion through culture, wellbeing, personal development, and EDI initiatives.
  • Support complex employee relations cases and maintain HR policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Extensive knowledge of HR processes, employment law, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and HRIM systems.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational, time management, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships at all levels and work on your initiative.
  • Strategic thinking with a commercially minded approach in a non-profit setting.
  • CIPD Level 5 or above qualification, or relevant vocational experience.
  • Extensive experience in an HR generalist or HR Business Partner role.
  • Experience in coaching, developing, and mentoring people.
  • Leadership, management, and change management experience.
  • Commitment to self-development and continuous professional development.
Desirable:
  • Knowledge of the care environment, voluntary/charity sector, or HM Forces.
  • Chartered member or Fellow of the CIPD.
  • Qualification in coaching or mentoring.
  • Experience in managing complex employee relations cases with a risk-focused approach.
