Job Description

HR Business Partner / People Partner who has a sound understanding of Human Resources and Organisational Development, including Change Management, Resourcing, Compensation and Benefits, Policy Development and UK Employment Law is required for an international development charity based in London.

SALARY: £35,703 - £40,929 per annum + Excellent Benefits

LOCATION: Hybrid working with a minimum of 40% of your time in the London Head Office

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

WORKING HOURS: 35 Hours per Week

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an HR Business Partner / People Partnerwho has a sound understanding of Human Resources and Organisational Development, including Change Management, Resourcing, Compensation and Benefits, Policy Development and UK Employment Law.

Working as a HR Business Partner / People Partner you will be responsible for providing Human Resources Partnership and advice across the full spectrum of people management activities including employee relations, organisation design and learning and development.

As an HR Business Partner / People Partner you will act as a named partner to a specific part of the organisation and will work in close collaboration with leaders and managers to enable the delivery of organisational and team goals through excellent people management.

DUTIES

Your duties as the HR Business Partner / People Partner include:

  • Working with all levels of management providing strategic support and problem solving in all areas of human resource management
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with managers
  • Support managers in design and shaping of teams and jobs including advice on pay and benefits
  • Support team leaders with the management of employee relations, including absence management, performance management, grievance, disciplinary and capability management
  • Liaise with the People Services Team, union reps, HR focal points and staff association reps
  • Develop and facilitate workshops on specific issues including running People Management in training and EDI training
  • Build managerial capability with regards to effective people management
  • Provide training and informal coaching
  • Support the delivery of the People Culture and Change strategy through participation and leadership of defined projects
  • Undertake research, evaluation and project work
  • Participate in cross-organisational work that shares knowledge and expertise to support the company's vision, mission and values
  • Create communications where appropriate to inform staff about People Culture and Change activities through appropriate channels
  • Work closely with the company's People Services Officers holding regular meetings to ensure the efficient sharing of information

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • CIPD qualification or equivalent experience
  • Good understanding of UK employment law essential
  • Project Management skills
  • Good understanding of HR and OD processes, including but not limited to, change management, organisational development, resourcing, compensation and benefits, policy development
  • Experience of managing complex employee relations cases
  • A willingness and ability to travel to overseas offices for 1-2 weeks approx. 2 times a year
