Overview

HR Business Partner/HR Manager

LOCATION: London SE1, UK based (full-time with hybrid working)

ROLE OVERVIEW:

This role provides dedicated HR Generalist support to two London based Agencies within the Professional Networks of the Omnicom Health Group (OHG) https://www.omnicomhealthgroup.com/. The role reports to the VP, Human Resources, Europe, based in London, and has frequent interaction with OHG HR colleagues based in Europe and in the US.

The HR Business Partner/HR Manager will partner with employees and Management across all levels to deliver pro-active HR solutions meeting business needs, fostering a climate of trust and commitment. They will work on HR projects and initiatives aligned to agency business objectives and OHG HR strategic goals with a coaching approach and collaborative attitude. These projects include engagement, retention, talent management, learning & development, career development, inclusion & diversity, wellbeing, etc.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

HR Advice & Policy

  • Oversee employment relations issues and resolve workplace disputes in line with best practice and employment law.
  • Provide accurate HR advice to employees and managers based on UK employment law and best HR practice.
  • Ensure HR policies are aligned to law.
  • Facilitate positive employee relations through development of employee management strategies.

Talent & Career Management

  • Partner with managers and leaders on career development and growth initiatives, including succession planning and talent retention.
  • Coach employees & managers on career growth and development.
  • Manage the annual launch of the goal setting cycle, quarterly career conversations, and end of year appraisals in the OHG performance management platform.

Engagement

  • Manage the launch of the bi-annual OHG staff engagement survey.
  • Analyse engagement data and present key stats and themes to the Leadership teams and Agency workforce.
  • Create robust engagement action plans driving culture and workforce engagement.
  • Provide Agencies with necessary tools to define and influence organisational culture that is based on strong engagement.

Hiring & Onboarding

  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition team on the hiring & selection processes.
  • Deliver new starter inductions.
  • Coach hiring managers on best onboarding practices.
  • Review the new hire survey feedback and continuously improve the onboarding experience.

Learning & Development (L&D)

  • Work at Agency level with employees and management to define learning strategies and programs.
  • Partner with the OHG L&D team, based in the US, to support the delivery of learning and development activities.
  • Assess the success of development plans and help employees make the most of learning opportunities.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI)

  • Partner with the OHG DEI team, based in the US, and local Agency DEI project teams to successfully deploy & support DEI strategies and projects.
  • Promote an inclusive environment which provide equal opportunities for all employees.
  • Deploy HR strategies across the HR lifecycle that actively identify and support the unique needs of employees.

HR Data

  • Analyse HR data: onboarding, offboarding, engagement, performance, talent, DEI, identifying workforce trends that can drive positive organisational culture.
  • Provide HR reports & presentations to senior management teams as required.

Payroll

  • Manage monthly payroll activity for the two agencies, ensuring payroll data is processed accurately and submitted by the relevant cut-off date.
  • Partner with the agency Finance teams and the Omnicom in-house payroll team on payroll related matters.
  • Responsible for local payroll SOX Audit.

Immigration

  • Strong understanding of UK Immigration laws and practices relevant to hiring.
  • Partner with the HR Operations Manager on migrant employee compliance.
  • Liaise with the Omnicom outside UK counsel on immigrationmatters as necessary.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong HR generalist experience at HR Manager level gained in the United Kingdom, ideally within the creative industry.
  • Experience of a matrix working environment
  • Experience working for a US owned company and liaising with HR teams in the US is advantageous.
  • University degree. A degree or post-graduate certification with specialty in HR and is preferrable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, knowledge of various HR tools and systems.
