Job Description

We are looking for a driven candidate to join our HR team. You will join a dynamic team consisting of two HR Advisers who report into the Head of People and Culture.

Your primary responsibility is to ensure that an effective and efficient HR Service is provided throughout the business. You will oversee and manage the administration of the employee lifecycle and work with the HR Advisers to co-ordinate and monitor compliance, training and ensure future fit learning is achieved within the Firm. You will be the go-to person for all day-to-day people related issues and collaborate with the HR Advisers to ensure employees expectations are being met. You will establish a regular HR presence and extend support to all employees on a regular basis. You will be expected to travel across multiple offices on a weekly basis, due to growth of the business we anticipate locations to increase in the coming months.


Key Focus Areas


  • Manage and maintain all employee records and files in accordance with GDPR and legislative guidelines.
  • Ensure all policies are kept up to date and highlight ones that need further review.
  • Support with the full recruitment process, preparing job descriptions, screening CVS’s, arranging interviews, providing feedback, preparing new starter packs and contracts.
  • Ensure a full onboarding process is followed including co-ordinating and running inductions.
  • Supporting, influencing and guiding all employees on all aspects of HR in line with business objectives – alongside Advisers.
  • Produce reports for the Head of People and Culture.
  • Acknowledge resignation letters and ensure exit interviews are carried out where applicable.
  • Manage and co-ordinate Workshop training sessions.
  • Complete our annual compliance checks and report into the Compliance Partner.
  • Support with the administration of payroll and company benefits.
  • Employee Wellbeing, Communication and Engagement: Actively promote company core values and ensure they are a consideration in all aspects of HR delivery. Support the promotion of employee wellbeing initiatives to ensure employees are supported in the work environment.
  • Support the HR Advisers with Early Careers - Organisation of work experience, pre-planning and making it seamless and valuable, careers events at schools – organisation, liaising with Marketing and in some cases, hosting sessions, support with SB Students – general queries, exam bookings, salary letters and communications, annual student recruitment and onboarding


The above list is non-exhaustive and other reasonable duties will be undertaken as required for the effective performance of the post. Duties may change over time and the role-holder will be expected to co-operate where such changes are reasonable.


Qualifications and Experience

  • CIPD Level 3 is desired but not essential
  • HR or People Operations background
  • Experience within a similar role is required, with strong HR administration skills
  • Full UK Driving licence

Location: Hybrid working from home and office (Current office locations are Ipswich, Colchester and Bury St Edmunds)
