With Workday as our powerful engine, the HRSS team will handle a wide range of HR functions, including:

  • Recruitment: Managing volume hiring to ensure we bring in the best talent swiftly and effectively.
  • On-boarding: Creating smooth and welcoming experiences for our new colleagues.
  • Vetting: Ensuring thorough and compliant background checks.
  • Colleague Lifecycle: Supporting our team members throughout their entire journey with dnata Catering.
  • First Line Advice and Guidance: Providing prompt and accurate HR process advice to managers and colleagues.
  • Payroll and Pensions: Administering pay and retirement benefits with precision.
  • Reward and Recognition: Celebrating our colleagues' achievements and contributions.
  • Management Information: Delivering insightful data to drive informed decisions.
  • Exit Processes: Managing departures with professionalism and care.

We are currently seeking a HR Data Analyst to join our newly formed HR Shared Services team based in Manchester. The key purpose of this role is to support the HR team with all things HR analytics while we are in the process of embedding our new HR system Workday.


What you’ll be doing:

  • Producing standard and ad-hoc reports as requested, analysing the content and highlighting specific conclusions / trends.
  • Continually reviewing our data, cleansing as required, to maintain integrity and ensure accurate analysis and reporting.
  • Providing appropriate, timely and accurate management information to support strategy development, management decision-making and improve the effectiveness of HR services.
  • Developing and delivering a range of regular diversity monitoring reports and analysis, covering all aspects of HR procedures including workforce diversity profile, turnover, reward, recruitment, staff development, promotions, personal review and development plans(appraisal), grievance &disciplinary, sickness absence & leaving questionnaires.
  • Be responsible for the production of data both internal and external reporting.
  • Liaising with all the wider HR team to establish reporting requirements and provide advice and guidance on feasibility of request.
  • Support the development and implementation of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess the effectiveness of the HR strategy and People Plan.
  • Ensure the confidentiality and integrity of all HR information in accordance with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) rules and other relevant legislation and codes of practice.

What you’ll have:

  • Proactive self-starter and able to work on own and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience of Microsoft VBA coding.
  • Experience of using Power BI
  • Experience, or working knowledge, of SQL databases and complex queries.
  • Working experience using Workday is desirable but not essential
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Management (or similar).
  • Possesses high levels of resilience and able to work within a fast paced and exciting environment


The ideal candidate for this role will have a passion for providing a quality service to both internal and external stakeholders. A key attribute of the successful candidate will be high levels of attention to detail, a customer centric approach and experience of working with sensitive and confidential data. To be a success in this role, you will have previous experience of working in a Shared Services environment and proven experience working with HR data in optimising the use of data to support effective workforce planning and influence decision making around people, talent and performance.
