Relationship Directors are senior product specialists providing asset finance solutions to sophisticated customers in the Mid-Market, Large Corporate and Global Banking markets. The job holder will represent the HEF proposition within the Infrastructure, Technology and Sustainable Finance segments within HSBC’s Large Corporate customer in the UK. Responsible for the delivery of the HEF revenue growth objective within defined areas working as part of the local HSBC Relationship management team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support customers and place their needs at the forefront of all they do, setting world class standards and ensuring demonstrating fair customer treatment and delivery of customer satisfaction
  • Manage regulatory and reputational risk, ensure business adherence throughout the client lifecycle by identifying, assessing, accepting, monitoring, escalating and mitigating risk
  • Leverage relationships with key influencers within your business network to be the preferred option for recommendations
  • Maximise revenue by identifying customer needs first and then recommending appropriate asset finance solutions for the customer to consider and accept
  • Provide excellent relationship management to all customers including meeting realistic customer expectations in terms of efficiency, accuracy and professionalism.
  • Engage, manage and develop a pipeline of new customers and follow an end to end sales process for those requiring CAPEX funding

Job Requirements:

  • Strong working knowledge of building complex lending deals interpreting financial data and deal completion.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with experience of adapting your style and approach to the audience and message to be delivered
  • Experience of planning and prioritising their own time effectively and adhering to strict deadlines
  • A track record of gaining an understanding of customers’ needs and delivering excellent customer service
  • Highly numerate and with experience of credit analysis, financial modelling and associated risk frameworks
  • Experience working in relevant environment/s, i.e. Commercial Banking (CMB).
  • A comprehensive understanding of the regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements associated with financial services and experience of working within these
  • Knowledge of complex credit & lending platforms ideally within Structured Asset Finance
