HR Director

14 Month Contract

Central London (Zone 1)

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will have overall responsibility for the entire HR and payroll function.

• Primarily responsible for progressing and delivering on HR objectives in 2024

• Actively contribute to developing and setting the HR objectives in 2025 and make progress towards achieving them

• Represent HR at weekly Core Leadership Team meetings

• Review, update and communicate the policies and procedures currently in place and introduce new policies as and when required;

• Advise senior management and line managers on HR policies and best practice;

• Oversee payroll and benefits administration

• Reviewing staff benefits, ensuring that the overall benefits package remains competitive with the market

• Explore new benefits as and when required and negotiate with brokers / suppliers. Implement and communicate these benefits across the business.

• Hold Exit Interviews and provide consolidated feedback to line managers / heads of department

• Take the lead on the Company’s survey process by arranging periodic surveys and then distributing results promptly to the Core Leadership Team, working through changes needed in the business, communicating this to the business and then setting up the follow on surveys.

• Ensure the efficient management of annual HR budgets

• Advising managers / consulting on contract changes driven by the business

• Handling flexible working requests – guiding managers on process, ensuring statutory deadlines are met and all necessary paperwork is issued and signed

• Manage HR area of SharePoint – ensure information is accurate and up to date and upload / share new content as necessary

• Managing leave requests such as Family Leave eg. Maternity / Paternity / Shared Parental / Adoption Leave, Remote working Requests, Sabbaticals, Compassionate Leave, Discretionary extended company sick pay

• Provide expert professional advice and coaching to Advising / coaching line managers and senior management

• Grievance & Disciplinary process – maintaining and communicating policies, advising managers, ensuring correct process is followed, taking notes, issuing invitation and outcome letters, liaising with solicitors where appropriate

• Holding welfare meetings

• Maintaining Risk Assessments

• Supporting employees with personal issues

• Advising line managers

• Scoping, arranging, communicating and coordinating coaching / employee training requirements. Ensure these are well managed and monitored across the business

The Person:

• Highly motivated and able to work autonomously

• The ability to develop relationships built on the establishment of trust and confidentiality;

• Extensive experience of HR systems, HR policy, recruitment, payroll, pension, training and internal communications;

• Experience developing and implementing HR policies and procedures;

• Experience in identifying and building strong relationships with senior management teams;

During the initial 3 month probation period, you will be expected to work from the Zone 1 office 5 days a week.

Upon successful completion of probation period, you will be eligible to work 2 days per week from home.
