Payroll/HR Manager

Tuckers Solicitors are seeking Work From Office HR Manager/Payroll manager to join us at our London W1 office.

The role will support the Managing Partner, Regional Partners and the Finance Director to contribute to the realisation of the firm's objectives and to be a strategic voice at management level.

Key responsibilities

HR

Maintain and administer HR/Payroll, including maintaining and updating records as well as revising current processes or substituting methods where appropriate and feasible.

PAYROLL

Processing the payroll, including the administration of the staff compensation and benefits packages, including payroll processing.

Management of employee on-boarding and departures.

Ensure people information is up to date on the firm's HR system.

Handle grievances and disciplinary procedures.

Assisting and advising the Managing Partner and Senior Management on employment law.

Assisting and advising Senior Partners on pay, remuneration and benefits.

Coordination of the annual appraisal process and annual salary reviews.

Promote equality and diversity within the firm.

The role will also include

Role specifications for people at all levels of experience to fit the firm’s priorities within its strategy.

Organising in-house cover/engagement of temporary staff for absent administrative staff.

Design and implement an induction programme for new hires.

Review of remuneration policy for lawyers and support staff.

Undertaking any other responsibilities as deemed appropriate for an HR Manager

Essential key skills

Several years’ relevant experience in a similar role.

CIPD qualification (level 3 to 5) or equivalent relevant experience.

Proficient in the application of GDPR legislation.

A strong working knowledge of current employment law.

Demonstrable problem solving and process-improvement experience.

Being collaborative, flexible and efficient with close attention to detail .
