HR Manager

12-month contract – full-time

Glasgow – Hybrid working

£50,000


Meraki Talent is partnered with a leading professional services firm to assist in the recruitment of an HR Manager. This is a full-time opportunity for a period of 12 months, based in Glasgow and offers a salary of c.£50,000.



Responsibilities include:



  • Aligning People Strategy: You will support the alignment of the organization's people strategy with its overall business strategy, ensuring that HR initiatives are closely integrated and contribute to the company's success.
  • Leadership and Development: You will provide professional leadership, support, and development opportunities to the HR and administration team, fostering knowledge-sharing and ensuring that professional standards are met.
  • Continuous Improvement: Driving a continuous improvement agenda, you will focus on enhancing engagement and well-being activities, maximizing productivity, and building leadership capability within the organization.
  • Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion: You will develop and execute a plan for diversity, equality, and inclusion that aligns with the company's values, business strategy, and commitments, creating an inclusive work environment.
  • Employee Engagement: Collaborating with executive leadership, you will drive employee engagement by developing internal communication strategies, processes, tools, and training to improve morale and promote productivity.
  • Compliance and Regulations: You will ensure compliance with current regulations, professional standards, policies, procedures, and legislation related to HR, including data protection, the Equality Act, and health and safety.


In terms of your career, the following qualifications, skills, and experiences are sought:



  • Excellent knowledge of HR practices
  • Preferably, a CIPD qualification
  • A degree is preferred but not essential
  • Experience in a senior HR role
  • Good knowledge and understanding of UK employment law
  • Proven leadership experience
  • Understanding of regulations, professional standards, policies, procedures, and legislation, including data protection, the Equality Act, and health and safety
