About the RoleOur client is looking for a commercial and IP licensing lawyer to join their EMEA legal team based in Cambridge on a permanent basis. The role would suit a Lawyer with 5 years + PQE (although those more recently qualified are welcome to apply), experienced in commercial contracts, and with an interest in technology.They offer a generous package, unrivalled benefits (including a sabbatical after 4 years service), and an impressive office space (although you're welcome to work remotely).Our client is defining the future of computing by offering foundational technology that enables our partners to deliver an unparalleled range of products covering all global markets and sectors. They have offices across the world including the UK, USA, Sweden, France, Germany, Japan, India, and Taiwan.This is a great opportunity to join one of the world’s most influential and successful technology companies.What you'll be doing:Providing legal support to their Sales and Licensing teams in EMEAI and ASIAPAC.Negotiating and drafting contracts with partners who license their technology and to grow revenue for them.Seeing a wide variety of contracts, including technology licenses for hardware and software, novation agreements, and other types of commercial contracts.Building cross-team relationships across the organisation, and within the legal teams.Being responsive and working as effectively as possible with key partners in a way to further develop their relationship with such partners from a legal perspective.Promoting and demonstrating their core beliefs and behaviours in the work that you do.What we need to see:Qualified in a UK with around 5 years PQEDemonstrable experience of drafting and negotiating commercial contractsExperience working across cultures and in a fast paced in-house legal environment.Good knowledge of contract and intellectual property law applicable to technology, licensing, and commercial contracts.Experience negotiating agreements for commercial outbound agreements with SalesAbility to critically analyse and willingness to challenge assumptions and working practices to drive efficiencies.About usFlex Legal is an online platform connecting law firms and in-house counsel to lawyers and paralegals.We have a knowledgeable Lawyers Team (some of whom are former lawyers themselves) who are dedicated to helping you find your next opportunity.
