Our client is the UK’s leading renewable energy generator of low carbon power from captured methane. They are making significant progress in developing their portfolio of flexible and renewable generation sites and require a talented Construction Lawyer to join the esteemed in-house legal team.


You will have a proven track record in drafting and negotiating a wide range of construction contracts and advising on legal issues arising during construction projects. You will be invaluable at every stage of the process from the initial tender phase through to project completion. You will work collaboratively with the project and construction teams, offering clear legal advice and guidance to help the business achieve successful project operation.


Role responsibilities:

  • Drafting, negotiating, and reviewing construction project contracts including consultant appointments, engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC), operations and maintenance (O&M) agreements, tender documentation; procurement contracts; service level agreements; warranty documents and performance guarantees
  • Advising on commercial and regulatory issues and risk management initiatives relating to the development and construction activities of the group and monitoring and advising on legislative and regulatory developments
  • Provision of legal support to cross discipline growth initiative teams in relation to strategic projects including M&A, development opportunities and related financing arrangements
  • Providing advice and support to the project managers and business teams on contractual issues that arise through the project development and construction process including in relation to dispute resolution
  • Assisting in the development and audit of legal and corporate infrastructure including policies and procedures and standard form contracts.


Ideally 2 years PQE + and hybrid work of 1/2 days in the office. Hybrid working may be more flexible depending on the team requirements.
