In House Data Privacy Lawyer Job In London

An international law firm is hiring an in-house Data Privacy Lawyer to work in their compliance team in London. This is an exciting opportunity to join a firm with a strong compliance culture and senior stakeholders who take a keen interest in compliance issues.

To apply for this role, you will need to be a qualified lawyer with experience advising on UK data protection issues affecting law firms, as well as SRA Standards and Regulations. You will also need to demonstrate good communication and organisational skills, as well as the ability to manage projects and draft and implement changes to policies and procedures.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Advising partners and fee earners on conflicts and client onboarding
• Reviewing risk and compliance policies and procedures
• Leading on data protection issues such as reviewing client terms, and data transfer issues, advising on DSARs queries and maintaining ICO registration
• Answering compliance queries relating to insider lists, SRA Codes of Conduct, secondments, and more
• Mentoring junior members of the team and delivering compliance training to partners and employees
• Ad hoc risk and compliance projects
