About the Client:

Are you a Lawyer with strong contract negotiation and review experience? Then join our Global Firm’s Belfast Office as an In-House Contracts Lawyer.

About the Role:

The team that you will be joining is a global function that provides a first-class service to the Firm’s partners and fee earners offering strategic legal support on a wide range of client engagement terms and risk related issues.

This is an exciting opportunity to take on a new and unique cross-departmental role. This role will involve working closely with other global teams, including Data Privacy, Marketing and Business Development, IT and Information Security.

What you will be doing:

  1. Taking the lead on identifying and advising on key contractual terms in often complex client engagement terms, with a particular focus on data privacy, information security and artificial intelligence.
  2. Identifying and providing pragmatic and directive support and advice on complying with relevant terms in the context of the firm’s global business operations, including incident response.
  3. Maintaining a detailed record of relevant key terms, leveraging technology solutions to analyse, advise and report on the terms and their implications for the business.

Who we are looking for:

  1. Qualified Lawyer with strong contract negotiation and review skills.
  2. Excellent track record of systemising processes, ideally within a risk management environment.
  3. Experience of dealing with and advising a wide range of business stakeholders in determining requirements and priorities, as well as resolving issues.
  4. Risk management experience.
  5. Collaborative team player with the ability to nurture and work in a fast-paced environment.

Required Experience:

Qualifications: 2-4 years’ PQE as a Northern Irish qualified lawyer with Contracts law experience.

Skills: Strong communication (verbal and written), technical, research, and organisational skills. Ability to manage a busy caseload, and work across multiple departments. Change and Project management experience.
