Job Description
We are working with a major regional Legal 500 law firm, with offices across the north of England, looking to recruit an in-house Regulatory Solicitor into its in-house Legal and Regulatory team.

This position has scope to be based in Leeds or Newcastle and will work directly with the lead Counsel on a wide range of law firm regulatory matters.
You will be working with colleagues around the business in respect of regulatory issues including SRA regulatory compliance, conflicts of interest and professional indemnity insurance renewals and claims etc.
Additionally, the role will involve horizon scanning to ensure that the firm is prepared and able to implement guidance and training across the firm on new regulations or legislation.
The ideal applicant for this role will be a Solicitor from a Commercial Litigation background, ideally with some experience of professional indemnity matters.
An ability to be analytical and work logically through issues really is key - this area of law is all about the being able to assess and manage risk.
You will be dealing with sensitive and often confidential matters, so the ability to work with discretion and manage sensitive information is very important.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a litigator to transition their career in-house and to work with the close mentorship of an expert head of Department.
The firm operates a flexible hybrid working policy and you could expect to be in the office around 2 days a week.
Both full and part time applicants will be considered.
This role could suit a Solicitor with anything from c.
2-10 years PQE.
