Job Description

"I’m an IT Support Analyst in finance." Not the most exciting thing to say to someone you’ve just met. How about, "I work in IT for a company that helps governments and financial institutions fight against money laundering, terrorism, organised crime, corruption, human trafficking and weapons of mass destruction.” Now we're talking £100 Billion plus is illegally laundered through the UK yearly, £700 Billion to £1.7 Trillion globally, and accounts funding terrorism are growing at an unprecedented scale. But we can’t change anything, so news like this becomes background noise. You can change it using your experience working on an IT support helpdesk and join this 100-person company based in Andover, spearheading the fight against financial crime and providing solutions to financial institutions, banks, regulators, cryptocurrency exchanges, and whole countries, dealing with people right at the top . You’ll have a team of 4-5 working alongside you, but you’ll be the sole IT Support Analyst because the current person is moving towards an infrastructure-focused role. He’ll still be there to help you learn the ropes. As you can see, there will be opportunities to progress in the long term in software development, management, or project management. Once you decide on a new path, the company will pay for any necessary certifications or training. You’ll mostly handle IT support tasks like ticket requests for internal people and software end users, implement and maintain security measures like firewalls, antivirus, and data encryption, manage IT assets, and coordinate with vendors. You’ll use tools like Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Project Planner, and Azure DevOps and will have access to the codebase too. It’s also about as secure a company as you could wish for because when there's a crisis like COVID or a recession, financial crime gets worse, and their services are even more critical. One or two days a week, you’ll work from their idyllic mansion, set within its beautiful grounds and boasting a gym with classes, a pool table, games machines and large distraction-free offices. Role – IT Support Analyst (Visa sponsorship not available) Salary – Up to £40,000 salary and discretionary bonus. Headline Benefits – 25 days holiday bank holidays and budget for training and certifications. Work Policy – Hybrid – Two or three days per week at their Andover offices, you must be able to drive and live within an hour of their office. HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED: You’ll already have some experience working on an IT helpdesk. You’re proactive, self-sufficient, and can demonstrate good organisational skills. HOW TO APPLY: Either apply here or search for Simon Monaghan on LinkedIn; contact details are at the top of my profile page. Don't worry if your CV is not up to date. We’ll deal with that later if needed.
