Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Stoke – 5 days a week in the office

Salary: Up to £60,000

Eligible for SC Security Clearance

Founded 10 years ago, this SME partner with clients in the Defence Industry to deliver secure IT solutions.

The Role:

They are seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to join a team in a newly created role. This position offers opportunities for growth, training, and progression.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and manage physical and virtual infrastructure, using VMware Technologies.
• Perform Proof of Concept (POC) for new technologies.
• Configure and manage AD, DNS, and CA services.
• Administer Windows Server environments
• Create detailed documentation for handover to other teams.
• Develop PowerShell automation scripts.
• Work closely with experienced team members who have a broad range of knowledge on technical solutions.

Experience Required:

• The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of relevant experience in building, not just supporting, on-premises and air-gapped solutions.
• Extensive experience in infrastructure engineering.
• Proven track record of building infrastructure from the ground up.
• Ability to perform POC for new technologies and manage both physical and virtual infrastructure.
• Strong documentation skills to facilitate smooth handover processes.
• A background in similar roles within organisations focused on high-security or isolated environments.
• Eligible for SC Security Clearance.
