Job Description
We are searching for additional Infrastructure Engineers for an exciting business based out of Exeter, Devon - the roles are offered as remote with occasional office visits.
You will be focused on providing and ensuring the smooth running of the client's data centre and associated technologies used by the group. You will work as part of a team, managing multiple concurrent tasks with varying technologies.
The role will involve:
Managing physical server and storage infrastructure to ensure all systems function as required and meet the targeted Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Ensuring the smooth functioning of the company infrastructure by consulting with 1st and 2nd Line Teams, Application Support, Developers, Product Managers, Suppliers and other Analysts as required.
Regularly analysing systems to ensure that they are capable for future and planned increases in capacity and functionality.
Collaborating with other Analysts and Engineers to identify repeating incidents and escalate into the Problem Management log.
About You
To be successful in the Infrastructure Engineering role you will have extensive proven experience working in a technical support and implementation role as well as proven experience in providing 3rd line support in an infrastructure or Data Centre environment. You will be able to analyse problems and the determine the appropriate solutions.
You will also be/have:
Experience with VMware vSphere.
Experience in providing helpdesk style technical support to internal and/or external users.
Knowledge of storage technologies e.g., EMC VNX, NetAPP, IBM or Nimble.
Varied Windows and Linux Operating Systems administration skills.
