Infrastructure Engineer / 3rd Line Support – Want to get it into IT Security?
Want to transition into IT Security where you can work on crucial IT Security projects? This role would suit someone from an Infrastructure background who would like to move into a formal IT Security position.
The company is currently undertaking a digital transformation programme, providing opportunities to get involved in a wide range of IT and upcoming Security led projects.
You will work in a multi-site, enterprise scale organisation, on broad IT systems and the associated security across the UK.
The role would see you developing and elevating the security best practice covering incident response and investigation, threat hunting/ penetration testing, as well as identifying emerging technologies and business threats, plus much, much more.
The technology stack is primarily based around Microsoft so MS Defender, Sentinel, Intune, Azure Arc etc, plus some new security toys to play with….
You would join a team of dynamic and like minded individuals, who work in a collaborative and supportive culture. As such, the client offers excellent working environment with the opportunity to further develop your IT Security career through consistent and ongoing training across various technologies.

Ideally your skills will include:
- Strong experience of supporting and maintaining Microsoft Infrastructure/Cloud technologies such as Azure and M365
- ‘Some’ experience in a Cyber Security type role or strong elements of cyber security as part of your role.
- It would be great if you had an IT security related degree or perhaps formal qualification in Cyber Security.
- Any IT/Security experience around PCI DSS, Cyber Essentials or ISO 27001 would be advantageous
