Inside Media CoordinatorHMP Doncaster Full time, hours Monday- Friday Salary: £,- £, Per annum HMP & YOI Doncaster is a Category B prison and it predominantly serves the courts of South Yorkshire and currently holds up to 1, male prisoners over the age of . We are located in the centre of Doncaster Town Centre within walking distance of the railway station and bus station. As a resettlement prison we work with our prisoners, particularly those serving less than -months, to ensure that they have the support they need for resettlement as well as access to the services and support available to them after release. Most of our prisoners are released back into South Yorkshire. Here at Serco, we have a vacancy for an Inside Media Coordinatorto join our amenities unit at HMP & YOI Doncaster. As the Inside Media Coordinator, you will develop, administer and deliver all aspects of the media provision, taking responsibility for starting and maintaining a family video messaging service. Additionally, you will assist the Inside Media Manager in the delivery of all work / education provision which increases employability, reduces the likelihood of re-offending and prepares prisoners for a successful return to the community. Day to day duties: Planning, delivery and administration of family video services, for HMP Doncaster and across the Justice and Immigration estate. Support in the delivery of the media provision within the establishment. Including covering of events, photography, corporate communications and associated post-production requirements. Identify new training provision using high quality learning materials, equipment and resources to maximise productive and effective learning opportunities for trainees / students. To ensure the delivery of a family video messaging service, in accordance with LSS and GDPR. Maintaining accurate records, including trainee / worker attendance, records of work, progression route and levels of achievement. Ensuring that family contact information and public protection is collected and stored appropriately. Establishing and maintaining positive and professional relationships with trainees / students, to create an appropriate environment for work / learning. Managing resources within budget; carefully managing the use of equipment and resources, actively encouraging students to value them. Planning, delivery and administration of family video services, for HMP Doncaster and across the Justice and Immigration estate. Support in the delivery of the media provision within the establishment. Including covering of events, photography, corporate communications and associated post-production requirements. Working in accordance with all statutory, Home Office, company and department requirements (these include, but are not limited to, Health & Safety, Race Relations, Suicide Awareness, Security policies and procedures). This will include reporting security and /or intelligence information immediately to the Education Manager and making referrals to the designated person/professional service providers. To share in the responsibility for ensuring good standards of trainee / student behaviour and taking appropriate disciplinary action as required. To undertake all other duties as directed by your line manager. What you need to do the job: We are looking for an individual who has the DTTLS/Certificate In Education / PGCE, Degree Level in subject specialism. As a minimum you must have the PTTLS Qualification with a willingness to work towards CET level three. The successful post holder must have excellent IT skills – including using Outlook and Excel. You must demonstrate experience of working in an environment that demands strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Have demonstrated flexibility and the ability to work to deadlines and under pressure. Recent experience, and appropriate knowledge, of delivering media-based activities. Additionally, having experience of a custodial environment is essential.. Having excellent skills dealing with people and having good written and verbal communication skills are also essential.
